Gumdo is also known as kumdo or geomdo. The translation of the meaning is 'sword art' in Korean. 'Haidong' is roughly translated to 'Land by the Eastern Sea', which was another name for Korea used by other countries in ancient times.
Haidong Gumdo is a beautiful yet powerful art that teaches steady smooth movements and pattern along with the precise angle of the cuts that enhance and develops balance, coordination, and concentration. You do not need any martial arts background to start training.
